Our leathers

The research of hides, craftsmanship and attention to production processes are at the heart of the company's philosophy and the quality of the products offered. All the company's products and articles are made with 100% Italian leathers from the food cycle.

All selected materials are processed and treated in the best Italian tanneries. In order to maintain the softness and quality of the products we suggest to protect them with suitable products, to keep them as far as possible away from heat sources and to keep them in their cases during the seasons of non-use, possibly closed and filled with paper in order to maintain their original shape.

A L T E Y U S

Alteyus is a printed calfskin with lizard pattern. The surface print consists of an application of both colour and movement of the leather, like the livery of the snake and is applied on a coloured background. It preserves the thickness and resistance of the calfskin and, in spite of its eciso appearance, it is very soft, a characteristic that improves over time.

B U L L

Bull is a soft, tumbled, full-grain cowhide with a beautiful, even natural grain. The remarkable fullness and roundness of the hand make it perfect for all uses. This leather is very rich both for texture and colour rendering: a perfect combination of body and lightness we have used it both for more structured bags and footwear.


C A M O S C I O N

This term is used to refer to that part of the skin of any animal species that is obtained by means of the "splitting" operation by separating the suede crust side from the outer part. Those used by us are made of calfskin, very soft to the touch and at the same time resistant and suitable for any use. The characteristic velvety aspect tends to take on an aged style over time.


C A V A L L I N G

Common but improper name for all those leathers of any origin that have the characteristic shaved hair of the horse. The fur hides we use for our products are of bovine origin.




C E R A T O

Leather of bovine origin on the surface of which a thin layer of wax has been applied, which gives it a slippery feel and a more intense colour.


E L E P H A N T

Vegetable tanned New Zealand sheepskin is treated with a special washing and drying process that gives the product a bubble and uneven grain appearance.
Sheepskins are usually soft, elastic and have a smooth and gentle grain. The main characteristic of sheepskin leather is certainly its versatility: in fact, depending on the various types of retanning studied over the years, they can acquire different types of consistency and can therefore be used both for footwear and leather goods.


L O N G B E A C H

Leather of bovine origin subjected to a frosted treatment that gives a velvety, soft to the touch, deliberately uneven hand. It is dyed with aniline dyes and treated with oils and waxes that enhance the natural, slightly plush grain. Thanks to these treatments the colours are dusty and pleasantly dull. Although it has a silky feel almost impalpable, it maintains the right build for the use of the article also for footwear and clothing.


M A R T E L L A T O

The hammered was born as an article to make saddles for horses. It is a very thick and barrel waxed calfskin: this finishing, besides giving a very pleasant wet hand, guarantees long life and protection. The more you use it, the more beautiful it becomes because the wax already present with the heat is revived and nourishes the layers underneath.


M O U S E

The name given to this full-grain cowhide leather is due to its smooth but soft appearance with a reassuring touch and the result of a particular tumbling that makes it warm and rubbery. Deliberately natural appearance thanks to the semi-aniline dyeing, which emphasizes the light uniform grain on the whole surface. The special finishing treatments give a characteristic colour variation typical of natural leathers in addition to the characteristic matt appearance.

M O U S S E P E R L A T I O N

It maintains all the characteristics of the mousse article and its full and soft hand, but during dyeing a component is added that gives the surface a permanent wet or mother-of-pearl effect.


N E W Y O R K

Leather from the mousse family, but coarse-grained and with a more covered finish. It is full grain finished, where the finishing and subsequent printing are completed with a layer, so it is suitable for those who want uniformity in the colour and appearance of the leather.


S A L M O N

The salmon has a great resistance to grip and rubbing and comes directly from an Icelandic company, the only producer of its kind. As it is a very natural and unfinished and layered skin, it must be carefully maintained. Neutral creams or sprays are recommended to avoid colour variations.


V E R N I C E

It is a calfskin nappa with transparent lacquer for this commonly called nappalack. Unlike the classic varnishes that remain rigid, this leather crumples and maintains the softness characteristics of unlacquered leather.
